The Michael community here in Boulder meets once a month for an enjoyable Michael Teachings/philosophy salon, and if you're in the area, come join us. Plan to arrive between 5pm-6pm for a shared potluck and catch-up. Ferne will supply build-your-own-sandwich goodies, and the rest of us can fill in the menu with salads, side dishes and desserts. 2011 East Coast Michael Gathering

The annual East Coast Michael Gathering has migrated wonderfully to the beautiful Claymont Retreat in West Virginia, about an hour's drive from Dulles Airport in Washington, DC. Plans are coming together soon for the next retreat coming up in April 2011, and will be announced here soon. Cost is TBA (probably between $200-300) depending on the number of days you attend, meals or no meals, etc., and it's always a fun retreat. The weekend actually begins on a Friday, but for an extra fee early birds can come relax and get settled the day before, on Thursday. You can also register to stay an extra day and leave on Monday, if you'd like to hang out and relax after the retreat.

The format of the retreat is refreshingly democratic, with everyone being invited to share what they know. The group votes on suggested topics on Friday night, with sessions happening throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. There is plenty of social time, good food, sleeping time and even a foray to a local restaurant to see how beautiful this corner of West Virginia and Virginia is.

They also presented the past lives and karmas that relate to this election for George Bush, Barack Obama, Dick Cheney and John Mc-Cain. Mike is a 21-year student and channel of the Michael system, who co-channels the Tuesday telegroup classes and Wednesday group sessions at the Michael Educational Foundation with JP Van Hulle. His specialty is in health and grieving issues, although he channels all the components of the Michael system.
